ONLINE EXAMS
INTRODUCTION:
All of the online exams will be taken in a Web environment known as D2L
(Desire 2 Learn). This is a piece of software licensed by the U of A that
lets students and instructors perform all of the functions of a normal
class
through an ordinary Web browser (like Netscape or Internet Explorer), such
as holding discussions and taking exams. You will NOT need to install any
special software on your own computer to take the exams in D2L, aside
from the Web browser you already need for the course.
You log into D2L at http://d2l.arizona.edu/ using the UA NetID that you use to access Student Link and WebMail. If you've added the course late, you may not have access immediately.
HOW TO STUDY:
The exam questions require you to know certain facts, such as types of kinship, forms of political leadership, names of reservations/tribes/nations, etc. Write down the important terms listed in each lecture, and then go through the Web site/lecture notes/readings and identify each of the items. If you write down whatever you can find about the terms, then you can use these notes as to help you answer the exam questions as you are taking it.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT EVERY BIT OF INFORMATION COVERED IN THE EXAMS IS LISTED IN THE IMPORTANT TERMS.
