Course Requirements

Introduction: This course includes a midterm, book review and final exam. Late book reviews receive a 5% penalty each day they are late. No work will be accepted after the last day of class, July 10th.
Requirements: Access to a computer with a decent internet connection (56k or better) and an updated Web browser is required. Experience with email and using the WWW is necessary. You may experience serious problems if your computer is really outdated, but you can use a computer with internet access in a lab, library, etc. Keep in mind that I am not a computer technician and will not provide technical support for things not directly related to the Web site for this course.
Midterm: Midterm Exam is June 23rd. It is worth 30% of your final grade. The exam is all multiple-choice questions and tests your knowledge of the reading. It covers the first half of the Griffon-Pierce text (Native Peoples of the Southwest), pgs 5-203. The exam is online and timed.
Book Report: The book report (Portraits of the “Whiteman”) is due on June 30th. It is worth 20% of your final grade. It must be emailed to me on the due date before midnight.
Final: Final Exam is July 14th. It is worth 40% of your final grade. The exam is all multiple-choice questions and tests your knowledge of the reading. It covers the second half of the Griffon-Pierce text pgs 204-426. The exam is online and timed.
“Discussion”: On Sunday evenings, I will post a series of discussion points regarding the module for that coming week. You are expected to contribute, in some fashion, to the discussion. This will be 10% of your grade. I will try to set this up on d2l, if not, it may be as simple as emailing the entire class with the points and you will hit “Reply All” with your discussion.

No late exams will be accepted!!!!
