Cultivation Theory - George Gerbner
George Gerbner is Director of the Cultural Indicators research project at the University City Science Center in Philadelphia, and Founder and Chair of the Cultural Environment Movement. He was editor of the Journal of Communication and chair of the editorial board of the International Encyclopedia of Communication. From 1964 to 1989 he was Professor and Dean of The Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania.
