WINNING THE ADOBE 6-MONTH SOFTWARE DRAWING

Each active Adobe Users Group is allowed to award each six months a software program supplied by Adobe. The product is selected by the winner, for a value of up to $2100. Each user group can make up its own criteria for awarding this software.

The TAG group is using a combination of points and a raffle. This is the criteria for winning the software:

  1. The software winner must be a current member of the TAG group (that means, since there is no membership dues, being on the TAG mailing list).
  2. Winning the software makes you ineligible to win the software for the next drawing.
  3. To be eligible for the software drawing you must have at least 4 points accumulated by the meeting when the drawing is done. Points can be earned by attending meetings, and also by contributing to the group in other ways, as indicated below.
    • Attendance at a given monthly meeting - 1 point
    • Giving a presentation to the group - 4 points
    • Writing a review of a book (or video series) for posting to the TAG website and posting to Amazon - 3 points
    • Member of the Steering Committee - 3 points
    • Participation in a panel presentation for a monthly meeting - 2 points
    • Recruiting a speaker for a meeting - 1 point

After accumulating 4 points, you will receive one ticket for the software drawing. Any additional points for that semester will give you an additional ticket. Then, like before, the name of the winner will be drawn from the group of tickets for that particular 6 month period. We have one drawing for the January-June time period and one for the July-December time period.

People who choose to only attend sessions, if they attend four meetings before the drawing, would earn a ticket and have a chance to win the software. However, the more you participate and contribute to the group, the better your chances of winning the software.
