Call for Papers

Papers for the conference will focus on issues and strategies relating to non-profits in the areas of community development, environmental governance, economic development, human rights, health care, education, arts and culture, conflict resolution, and volunteerism. The unifying theme must be sustainable development in urban settings. Contributions addressing the pedagogy of the role of non-profits are encouraged. Proposals for papers and panels are due by November 30, 2001. The best papers will be published in an anthology.

Guidelines for the submission of abstracts

Presenters of all submissions should submit an abstract for their session by 30th November 2001.

The abstract is a short description of your work and should contain all the elements necessary to define your goals and results to the reader. However, it is not meant to be a complete and lengthy report of your work.

Abstracts should contain sufficient information to guide participants in matching their interests and selecting their sessions. Please submit the following information with your abstract:

Margins 2.5cm all round
Font 12-point Times New Roman or equivalent

Submission of Abstracts

Please print the title of the abstract in bold. Underline the name of the author who will present the paper, and give the full contact address with e-mail on the top of the abstract Please center title, authors and addresses.

Abstracts should be submitted via e-mail or a virus free disk by the 30th November 2001 (in either case please also submit 2 hard copies). All submissions should be in
Microsoft Word format, if this is not possible, please submit the document as Rich Text Format (RTF) file.

Abstracts submitted on disk should have the filename on the front of the disk.

E-mailed abstracts should be submitted as attachments, not part of the message body.
