Despite millions of computers and related devices purchased by schools over the past ten years, modern technology is at best an add-on in most classrooms. How can teachers and schools become familiar with technology-based resources and consequently integrate them into the schools? The authors posit three levels of technology integration as it relates to the curriculum: enhancement, extension and transformation. They explore each level, with descriptions and examples.
