Miller, L. and Olson, J. (1995) "How Computers Live in Schools." Educational Leadership, 53, 74-77.

This article is a necessary balance to ideas of the futurists. The authors raise serious issues about the drawbacks of technology in the classroom. They do not believe that technology acts as a change agent, steering curriculum in new directions. Rather, they believe that the real progress computers can stimulate comes from a debate about what we really care about in classrooms and whether this is happening.
