SOFKEY RECIPE
  BACK

Ingredients:
  1. Corn
  2. Lye
You can buy lye (from the Muscogee Nation gift shop.)  It is made from the ashes of the Post Oak tree.   Ashes are collected in a sieve and washed with water.
Preparation:
  1. Boil water in large pot.
  2. Add corn.
  3. After water reboils add lye until corn turns orange.
  4. Continue to boil until corn is soft. Add water as required.
  5. Eat fresh or let set several days till it sours.
