For class: Buy course textbook. Read "Introduction" (1-12). Set up an email account if you don't already have one. If you don't know how, get help from the TA (kat sabine), a preceptor (Carolyn Gage or Maddy Wiseman), or a librarian (in either the Main or Science Library). Go online for more information on Computing on Campus.
In class: Assignment to learning groups. Assignment of group research topics. Exchange email addresses. Finding gender in the newspaper.
