    Introduction

        Adolescent girls "coming of age" at the end of the millenium face unique struggles and opportunities.  The girls in Southern Arizona are no different.  This web site will offer you information about the struggles that girls face, how these challenges impact girls' development, what girls are doing locally to empower themselves, organizations in the Tucson area which provide services for adolescent girls, and what kinds of unique opportunities adolescent girls have growing up on the border.
