IV. Teaching HTML and disabilities

<== [ H ] ==>

A. Teachers have disabilities sometimes too.

I'm thinking here of dyslexic and visually impaired teachers.

This wouldn't help some teachers with disabilities and might be more stressful to read for other teachers, with or without disabilities. And student disabilities may make carrying out the assignment difficult. So the assignment needs to be fitted to the people involved.

B. Having work as a file means the computer can read it aloud, enlarge the print, render it in Braille, etc.

Sample text to demonstrate the
the read aloud capacities of
Monologue '97

This works for me. I can take notes on their term papers while the machine reads it to me.

C. It can also be saved for future reference

HTML text takes little space and can be zipped to good effect.
Suspected plagiarism can be investigated.
Letters of reference can be made more specific.
