3. Check to see if you have Quicktime installed and external sound capabilities enabled. Do this by going to http://www.apple.com/trailers/ and click on one of the movie trailers. You should be able to both watch and listen to the trailer you choose. If you do not have Quicktime installed on your computer, then an installation prompt will appear. It is pretty easy to download and install the software. However, if you have never done this before, it may seem a little intimidating. For detailed download/installation instructions, click here. Confirm that you have Quicktime and that it works properly in your email message. Or if you need help, indicate the kind of problems you are having.

4. You will also need RealPlayer to listen to Middle English sound clips for Unit 7. Check to see if you have RealPlayer by going to http://academics.vmi.edu/english/audio/audio_index.html and clicking on any of the sound clips. If you do not have RealPlayer on you computer, then an installation prompt will appear. However, the prompt that appears is not for the free version of the software. Close it and go to the RealPlayer 8 Basic Installation page. Follow the prompts to download and install the software. Confirm that you have Quicktime and that it works properly in your email message. Or if you need help, indicate the kind of problems you are having.
