PHIL 262 -- Early Modern Philosophy  (3 units)

 

Description:  Survey of major 17th and 18th century British and European philosophers, chosen from Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, Locke, Berkeley, Hume, and Kant. In Spring 2006, we will study Descartes, Locke, Berkeley and Hume

 

Prerequisite(s):  two courses from Tier One, Traditions and Cultures (TRAD 101,102,103,104) (waived with the permission of the instructor for honors students).

 

Approved as: General Education Tier Two - Humanities.

 

Comments: There will not be a separate section for honors students in Spring 2008. However, honors students are welcome to “contract in” to take this course as an honors course. Please get in touch with David Owen asap at dwo@www.ic.arizona.edu.
