Dear Mr. Smith:

I would like to thank you for your interest in the Center for Professional Communication and our current research project focused on communications strategies used in the professional workplace. As an intern at the Center, I look forward to working with you on this project.

Several issues pertaining to your field that we are interested in include: architect/client interaction, architect/consultant communication, and archiving of drawings or photographs. I am hopeful to engage all areas of your office in this study. Your firm s three major areas of function (the design department, productions department, and office management department) will be studied to provide comprehensive data in terms of communication techniques. I will be contacting you again shortly for a follow-up interview to begin the project process.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions regarding my research or the topics to be covered in the interview portion. You can contact me by phone at (520) 555-5555 or by email at RP###@u.arizona.edu. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Ryan M. Perstac
Communications Technology Intern
