Dear Ms. Knight:
My name is Kelley Baker and I am currently a student at the University of Arizona. I am enrolled in a class that is studying professional communications and technology. Through this class, I am interning at the Center for Professional Communication, which is an organization made up of students and teachers at the University of Arizona whose goal is to study the use of communications technologies and analyze the technology¹s impact on certain types of professional communication. At present, I am researching the various techniques of communication that organizations use, and I was interested in learning about the university's RSVP system. My plan is to compare this system to the new system Pima Community College is attempting to implement.
Since I am a student at the UofA, I am familiar with how the RSVP system operates from my standpoint. For the most part, this has been a highly effective method for registering, especially compared to schools like ASU where you still must stand in line to register. What I am interested in finding out now is how the system operates from the administrative angle, and more importantly, how this system of communication has effected your organization. For example:
Since I plan on comparing the UofA's RSVP system with the new registration system that Pima is trying to implement, any information that you can give me would be very much appreciated. If you could please call me at your earliest convenience, I would like to set up a time when I can meet with you to discuss the system. My number is (520)319-9211. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Kelley Baker
