Dear Mr. Freeman:

I am currently a student at the University of Arizona as well as an intern for The Center for Analysis of Technology Use. The Center is a virtual organization that correlates with the business writing course at the University of Arizona. The goal of The Center is to analyze the use of technology in business communication, and so it is of no surprise that I was intrigued with your company and its use of an interactive database.

I am writing out of interest in your "Frequent Fan" database program as well as how Customer Relationship management tools will be integrated into this program. I understand that your company, EDCS, was acquired by Ticketmaster last year and am also interested as to how the introduction of your technology has changed Ticketmaster. In conjunction with my duties as an intern at The Center, I would like to research the strategies and effects of the technology utilized in your company and submit a recommendation report upon completion.

I was wondering if it would at all be possible to arrange an interview with you so that I would be able to further understand how this technology is put to use. If this is possible, you can contact me at the Race Track Industry Program Office at (520) 555-5660 or by e-mail at en###@hotmail.com. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Stacia Celeste
