Subject: Memo of Transmittal ________________________________________
Dear Generic Maternity Boutique Staff:
The enclosed report responds to the lack of a systematic means to track Generic Maternity Boutique's customers. Generic Maternity Boutique must implement a tracking process to record past customer purchases as well as their personal information. In order to properly organize Generic Maternity Boutique and provide personal customer service, the implementation of the customer follow up sheet is essential. This report will discuss how a customer follow up sheet will benefit the store as well as provide outstanding customer service in the competitive retail industry.
By providing unique and superior customer service Generic Maternity Boutique will develop a loyal customer foundation. It will be an effective tool that will bring customers back to Generic Maternity Boutique. The customer foundation will increase Generic Maternity Boutique's profitability by providing contact information that will be useful for sales and promotions. The lack of such a system is negatively affecting Generic Maternity Boutique by minimizing customer flow and resulting in losses in potential profits. You can find the template of the customer follow up sheet in Appendix A.
Sincerely,
Jane Smith, Pat Smith, and Jenny Smith
