I have not yet decided as to whether I will accept a new doctoral student for the coming
year. However, a truly exceptional developing scholar may be hard to resist. If you are
interested in studying with me, please state so explicitly in the personal statement of
your graduate application. In addition, I recommend that you articulate how you (and your
scholarly interests) are an especially sensible match with my interests and research.
Please feel free to email me in advance in order to express your interest (and include
your curriculum vitae/academic resume). Three groups of applicants are of particular
interest: (a) applicants who have grounding in psychology, law, public policy studies,
and philosophy; (b) applicants who have a law degree and are studied in jurisprudence and
criminal law theory; and (c) applicants who have a Master's degree in clinical,
developmental, cognitive, social, or quantitative psychology.
Further information on applying to the graduate program is available here.
